maybelline define a line is the worst i have ever had. it smeared in less than an hour and i ended up looking like a racoon for a week. i would recommend almay fer sure. it's the only one that stays on when i shower, when i nap, when i exercise, and i never have to re-apply. they sell it at most drugstores for about 7 dollars. :)
Revlon Colorstay liquid eyeliner. The color was rich and deep, and it never budged, even with my oily lids. Plus, it had a flexible felt tip that made it easier to apply than most liquid liners. If you're thinking about switching brands, it's the only thing I'd recommend. :)

I use MAC eyeliners. I have a black pencil for my lids, this stays on for hours and doesn't rub off and give yucky black eye bogies! You can get a really strong colour too. I use MAC liquid eyeliner for below and above my eyelashes. This is easy and accurate to apply and is waterproof and doesn't smudge. Both pencil and liquid come off really easily with even a mild remover like mine (from Boots' simple range). not sure of a brand but try not to get something too waxy,altho its easier to apply it tends to meld down after a wile and u end up with panda eyes... rimmel liquid liner is good if u no how to use it. practice/perfect!!!

The best lip gloss I found is the cheapest brand I found at Wal-Mart. Its called Wet n'Wild, Clear Gloss, also available in about 10 other colors. But I found the clear is fantastic, it is glossy and shiny, stays on for a long time and its cheap so you can use a lot of it if you want.

Of course black but not just any type of black, try black liquid eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner always comes out darker and smoother than a pencil. If you take my advice though, be sure to take this piece too ';Do not blink for a second or two right after applying ! This will spread the eyeliner into your eye';. There are plenty of colors. I have the same eye color. I like using brown, brown/black, or gray eyeliner, and I like dusty blue shades of eyeshadow. I could never find a brown I liked, it just made my eyelids look dirty. You can try having a consultation at a makeup counter at a department store, they'll really know what looks good on you and you don't have to buy everything. I just bought the shadow since eyeliner is basically the same anywhere. Once you have that done you know what looks good on you and you can find similar shades to the ones they showed you at drug stores for much cheaper.

THE BEST EYELINER,,,,isnt eyeliner.....get a small brush that is angled (you can get a cheap small angled paintbrush) make it moist and use black or brown eyeshadow. It will last longer, and will be soooo much easier to put on.....as for lipstick...i dont like lipstick. I use Lip Gloss....and for that, you have to play around and get a whole bunch of the cheap ones just to find out what color you like best....I like (but its expensive) Perscriptives Peach Fizz Lip Gloss. Liquid liner looks more dramatic, and lasts longer---but stings like the dickens if you get it in your eye. I prefer a soft pencil.





For eye products I prefer Maybelline, but Loreal has good eye pencils.





For lipstick? Nuetrogena, hands down. It leave your lips feeling soft.





And don't forget to remove every speck of any makeup before bed to avoid break outs!

Here are your options:





1. If you want to continue using black and black only, try replacing the liquid eyeliner with an angled brush and liner shadow. It will give it a softer look.





2. You can keep on doing what you are doing, except this time buy a dark brown (almost a black but brown) liner shadow and sort of soften the sharp lines from the liquid eyeliner. Then get a medium brown shadow and swoop under the brow bone (make sure to blend everything so nothing looks blocky). get a shimmery whitish cream shadow and put it under the brow. Mascara it up.





If your eyebrows look like they are disappearingng from the eye makeup just dust off your angled brush a bit and outline very lightly until desired look is achieved. The color should match the darkest color in your hair which I imagine is probably a light/medium brown.

I have deep-set eyes and oily lids, so ANY eyeliner disappears after an hour on me if I don't use some sort of primer!





I've discovered that applying a layer of loose face powder (most any brand will do) underneath the eyeliner helps it lasts all day. However, I only wear eyeliner ';normally';, not all over my lid.





If the loose powder trick doesn't work for you, then try an eyeshadow primer -- Urban Decay Primer Potion is amazing, when I use it my eyeshadow and eyeliner look exactly the same at bedtime as when I did my makeup in the morning -- even when I use cheapo drugstore makeup! It is about $15 a bottle, and one bottle will last about 3 months if you use it every day -- but it is definitely worth the price! A little goes a long way, be careful not to apply too much at once. i use stila smudge pots with a brush to apply it, its not automatic but i do think that gel liners are the way forward, they dont smudge, stay on all day and stay true to colour and also last absolute ages, just dont forget to shut the lid properly because they do dry out! and invest in a good eye make up remover...it definately stays on!

Definitely CoverGirl's Perfect Point Plus. It's more of a crayon, it sharpens itself and it glides on perfectly and doesn't wear off all day as long as you let it set properly. I swear by it. And it comes in blue AND grey, too.

I am a master make-up artist of 22 years http://www.beautifulbrides.org You need to use some corrective concealor mixed in with your regular concealor under your eyes. The corrective concealor is yellow and MAC sells a great one.





You can never get rid of under eye circles but can ';minimize'; them. I also suggest only lining 1/4 bottom on your eyes or 1/2 the most and keep your liner thin and crisp. Don't smudge it too much. It's o.k. to use mascara on your bottom lashes.





You can never rid of under eye discoloration so don't spend alot of money on false advertising. It's hereditary.





If you follow these instructions you will greatly improve your under eye discolorations.





In fact, my bride on my home page had terrible under eye darkness and she looks great once I finished with her makeup and she made it to my home page of my site with good make-up.

hmmm i would try using some under eye conceler and only using liner on the the top lash, black is classic for brown eyes. get enough sleep and plenty of water might help with the bags a little.

Stop using eyeliner on the bottom of your eyes, your just making them look darker. Try using a dark brown or black eyeliner at the top of the eye lid...that might make them look better

Oh, I have a friend like this. She started wearing eyeliner and it looked really bad. You need some concealer under your eyes! I have this problem too, and I'm able to wear it. If eyeliner still looks bad or you can't use concealer, just wear a black, volumizing mascara.

Brown eyeliner reduces the look of puffiness and it creates the illusion that the puffiness under your eyes isnt that bad. Also put concealer under your eyes then foundation. Also to bring otu your eyecolor use blue eyeliner from maybeline, and purple from Almay is awesome too!
Brownish black. Not to harsh, yet enough to highlight your pretty brown eyes. Not black, that's to dramatic..in my opinion. I always thought it best to accent what you have rather than trying to make what you do not. there's a liner from Covergirl and it works wonders. It's not an actual pencil, but it's a softer stick...not as finicky as liquid is and doesn't need dry time.





It comes in a twist up stick with a smudger on the end. It's my favorite liner besides the 98cent ones from NYC (which work wonders as well if you're on a budget.)

i also have blue eyes and i use smashbox jet set eyeliner in midnight and toofaced lash injection mascara. neither one of these accents your eye color but they work wonders with your eyes. the eyeliner stays on flawlessly even if you cry for hours and the mascara makes your lashes look fuller and longer. i suggest wearing blues(aqua works best for my specific eye color) and accenting your eyeshadow a little to match. for example, if i wear an aqua shirt, i will do my eye make up as usual, and then in the outer third to the outer corners of my eyes i line them again(outside the black, so you can see both colors) in an aqua. i really like Tarte eyeliner in Ballet Dancer and Make Up Forever eyeliner in Turquoise. hope this helps!

Pencil eye liners run and there isnt really a way around it. you have to either just check the mirror and wipe up the mess and re-apply or switch to liquid. I like the idea of the mac fluid liner...i've never tried it but i plan to now.

I suggest not using liquid eyeliner, it has finer lines but is darker and looks heavier. Liquid eyeliner is more for an evening look. If you are not wanting to wear to much makeup but still want to wear eyeliner I suggest this: Use a softer tone, such as gray. (Try to find a liner with a white stub of sponge on the end to smudge with.) It's subtle yet still gives you that smokey look. Apply a small line close to the base of your lashes. Next, take the sponge on the opposite end and smudge it by dragging the sponge over the line how you applied the eyeliner at least three times. The sponge removes some of the liner and still gives you a nice appearance. Another thing you could try is just applying it to your top lid and apply mascara this is a very sexy look. Angelina Jolie does this often, it also opens up your eyes. Basically, the trick is to not press to hard and start from the outside and go in. Give small strokes as you draw the line, don't do a full line at once. Just small strokes, lightly and then smudge it a bit. It will look great.How can you get the best effect of eye liner, without having to much?
I have the perfect solution, an its what i do everyday!!





I take a q-tip, and rub it into a dark brown eye shadow (you could try navy, or if you're eyes are a hazel, a plum) Then I take my finger, and pull the outer corner of my eye, so that it is stretched. Then, I blend the eyeshadow on the q-tip into my lashline. It works great, and its a softer look but still defines you're eyes.
try MAC fluidline. its gel-based and comes in a pot. you apply it with a brush, so you can control how much you want to put on. you can do it so you have a thick liquid liner effect or as thin as you want so it looks like pencil. i had a friend who used it and i thought she used pencil til she said she had fluidline too!
Try making dots on your lash line and then connecting them. This will make it a lot easier to focus on how thin or thick the line is. Also, make sure that there isn't too much liquid on the brush when using liquid eyeliner.

Liquid Eyeliner I think is best to really stand out and last all day. I use a cheapy one called Italia. I've been using it for almost 8 years now. (If interested you can find it on my website) I also like Avon Mark Hook-Up Liners, they are cheap but OH-SO small.





Gel/Cream Eyeliners are great for a natural-intense look because it is buildable. MAC Fluidline are a great high-end. Low end, L'oreal HIP liners and Jane Gel are good, but they seem to dry up pretty fast. Sucks. But the staying powder is good!





Pencil liners are great if you get the creamy kind. Urban Decay 24/7 Pencils seem the best so far! Very creamy and stay put all day. Lower end would be NYX Slim Pencils or Jumbo Eye Pencils. They don't have the BEST staying power, but it seems to vary from person to person. NYX Slim pencils are dryer and the Jumbo are very creamy.





Cake Eyeliner gives a super natural look. I use La Femme Cake Eyeliner. They are not intense at all and as it fades, it just kind of disappears instead of running around your eyes. Con that it fades. Pro that it just disappears.What is the best type of eye liner to you?

Your description sounds a lot like me. So hopefully I can help you out. When I apply eyeliner, I put a thin line on my eyelid, very close to my lashline. Sometimes I will wing it out a bit. If I use a thick line, I take it from the middle of my eyelid (very thin and close to the lashline) and then I gradually go up as I get to the end of my lash line (it will kind of look like a ramp). To make you eyes bigger you can use white eyeliner on you lower inner rims. Or you can skip on using black eyeliner inside your inner rims and instead use a pale gold eyeshadow on your lower lash line. I've done this and it makes my eyes appear bigger and makes a ';wide awake look';.

Loreal HIP (High intensity pigments) Gel Liner. You can find it at any drugstore for about $10. They are worth the price, and they don't smudge/wear off throughout the day. It won't even budge on the waterline. It's my personal favorite. Plus, when you buy it, it comes with a professional brush. The other good thing? The colors. It comes in Black, Brown, Teal, Purple, and a Dark Blue. So if you want more color choices - There you go! But the black is really truly a great black. They don't call it high intensity pigments for nothing.


Just a heads up, if you do decide to get it, get it at Walgreen's. Half the time they have it for when you buy one of them, you get one free (it's worth $10!).

I have very blue eyes and I found that using a smokey charcoal grey really makes them pop. If you want to pair it with eyeshadow, a silverly lavender goes really well with the charcoal liner.





Ulta or Sephora usually has some great matches. However, I really like the Covergirl liners as well in the crayon form. Go on easily and stay on all day.

well lets see, if we're talking liquid eyeliner, then a dark purple or navy from GOSH but i dont know if you have those in america. Pencil eyeliner, a shade thats slightly darker than your eyes would work and will really make them pop with mascara. Eyeshadow maybe a light purple with a kohl purple eyeliner smudged along the top eyelash. Also green works very well. Im not too sure about what products you have in america but Barry M is very good for colours and would convert to $7.
Urban Decay has the best eyeliner ever! It costs $17, but Sephora has a pretty good eyeliner that will do the job fine and costs $5. You should be using a deep chocolate brown or a deep red. Sephora's Deep Copper Brown or Chocolate Brown would be really good.

You want to use the opposite color than your eyes. So if your eyes are blue, you'll be using reds, oranges, and yellows, always leaning more towards orange. Don't think of these colors as clown colors. Think of eyeshadows in the colors of rusts, coppers, and golds. You should use two colors. One for the upper part of the eye under you brow to highlight and emphasize the shape of your eye as well as bring in the light that will make your eyes sparkle. The other is for the lid itself and will be blended with the top color. Again, Sephora has some really great colors in a cheap eyeshadow that only costs $10 and gives you TONS of shadow. For a highlighter on top, I would suggest Pearl No. 8 and for the lid Pearl No. 9 or Pearl No. 14.

Pearl is much better than sparkle because it gives that shimmer without all those little specks that always end up on your cheeks. Try Lancome Kohl - it's closest to kajal and it goes on smoothly and easily, and lasts for ages. Lining the inner rims of your eyes with it looks amazing and defined. I. Love. It.


MAC also has great eyeliners if you have a steady hand. Best for being smudgeproof though is a Neutrogena one (called Nourishing, I think), but you only get it in the US.
I use almay intense eye color eyeliner. they come in slightly different shades to enhance your eye color. i have hazel eyes, so my liner is just really black. i wouldnt use a waterproof eyeliner because its harder to remove at night. and liquid eyeliner is difficult to put on.

But you could also just try using an eyeshadow primer to keep your usual eyeliner in place, like Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($17 at ULTA). The primer also helps keep your eyeshadows from creasing, eye makeup last longer, and look more vibrant as well.

I use Rimmel London,but not their Eye liner pencil,it's something call Kohl eye pencil,it works,and I swear by it.
i use avons glammersticks it stays on all day.
I tend to use a dark eyeshadow and apply it with a cotton wool bud instead - you get it as thick as you want and it stays put for much longer - you can also smudge it. I use it above and below the eye.

A cheap and effective solution is to use dark eyeshadow. Use a dampened blunt edged eyeshadow brush. Load on the powder and dab it under your lower eyelashes for example. You can blend it out how you wish and it will create a glamourous smokey effect. If you then decide to apply a pencil eyeliner outside or inside your lashes the powder will have set and will stop the pencil line from smudging. So there. Do I get best tip or what? ;-)

For liquid liner I like Boots 17 Eye Liner pen, which is about 拢4 I think. For a glam look the Collection 2000 Inkwell Eye Liner about 拢3 and comes in loads of colours.

Ok, so the best type of eyeliner to use if you want long lasting stay is a liquid eyeliner. And previous people who have answered this question are right, if you get a good one it'll stay on all night long.





Personally I like Superdrug's Collection 2000 Fast stroke eyeliner, as it's cheap yet does exactlyy what i want it to do, and when you do want to remove it it doesn't leave you in a horrible mess.





It's probably best to just have a shop around and have a test of some of them in high-street stores, beacuse it's about what suits you.

I was thinking something dark to bring out the color of your eyes. Most definitely not green, because it's like your eyes will blend in with the shadow. How about maybe a blue or brown? And have you ever tried two-tone shadow? Have a darker color on the top part of your eyelid, and a lighter color beneath it, and blend them somewhere in the middle to create a faded or tapered look.

Hun to get things to pop you have to know the color wheel. Anything that is straight across the circle compliments the color the best.





Since your eyes are green I'd say add subtle eyeliner where the bottom lashes are and use pinkish eyeshadow. Because green compliments pink.

i go crazy over black eyeliners and i dont have a preferable brand i like, anything with 100% BLACK KOHL is good! it does wonders to your eyes and you wont have to give many line strokes.





i must say PENCIL eyeliners are wayyyy better, i only use liquid eyeliners when im wearing my fake eyelashes. just make sure the tip of your pencil isnt TOO sharp or TOO blunt! so, you'll be able to create the thickness of the lines to your eyes that you desire.





my only advise is for you to check the word 'KOHL' on the pencil, if there's none, don't buy it, it'll be a waste of money..i swear!

i just use the cheapJordanna stuff it works pretty well....personally i put the eyeliner on the inner ledges of the eye so i have the same problem as u do sometimes but if u just take the glob out like once then u will be fine for the rest of the day with Jordanna and i found it last pretty long like all day and the even have the twisty ones so u never have to worry about sharpening them....they usually run like $1 at most drug stores

I am a pencil eyeliner girl, personally.. but out of curiousity and free time I have recently picked up liquid eyeliner. I see where you say you don't like it.. but is it not IMPOSSIBLE for you to get a good, sharp tip off the pencils?





For the life of me, I just can't! The tip breaks off almost everytime and sometimes I get very sharp wooden points that scrape across my eyelid.. ouch!! I've tried everything.. freezing the pencil.. buying other sharpeners, etc.. but I finally gave up on getting a sharp tip.





And what I have started to do is use the pencil to fill in the outer corners of my eye, and go over that line with the liquid. You don't have to worry about keeping a steady hand, because you are essentially just filling the line in darker. It dramatically improves the look and makes your eyes POP!! I use Avon black eyeliner. It comes in a little tub and you apply it with an eyeliner brush. Before putting on eyeliner, take a q-tip along your lower lash line to make sure there is nothing there so that your eyeliner will look its best.
MAC Kohl pencil in Smolder. Its a true rich black eyeliner pencil...the absolute best in my opinion. MAC Liquid eyeliner in Boot Black is okay too...I prefer the Kohl Pencil though.

A cheap and effective solution is to use dark eyeshadow. Use a dampened blunt edged eyeshadow brush. Load on the powder and dab it under your lower eyelashes for example. You can blend it out how you wish and it will create a glamourous smokey effect. If you then decide to apply a pencil eyeliner outside or inside your lashes the powder will have set and will stop the pencil line from smudging. So there. Do I get best tip or what? ;-)

i found this fab range by barry m cosmetics. the eye liners are about 拢4.50 and there are loads to choose from. they sell it in superdrug, boots, and savers. some really funky colours too.
wel i use 'miss sporty' from superdug 4 only 1 or 拢2.99 it really is one of my life savers, i dont think there is an eye liner out there which doesnt come slightly off after a few hours or so, hope it helps
avon do a wet and dry eyeliner for 拢4. if you wet it it gives a lovely glossy finish to the eyes and doesnt move nor irritate
A Liquid eye liner is the best. I am assuming you are not using one. They Stay on all night. I use Face of Australia, but you can better. Its cheep and awesome, but you need a steady hand and it doesnt come off

For liquid liner I like Boots 17 Eye Liner pen, which is about 拢4 I think. For a glam look the Collection 2000 Inkwell Eye Liner about 拢3 and comes in loads of colours.


Pencil wise I always like Bourjois. Rimmel and Boots No 7 were always the worst one in my experience.
Ok, so the best type of eyeliner to use if you want long lasting stay is a liquid eyeliner. And previous people who have answered this question are right, if you get a good one it'll stay on all night long.





Personally I like Superdrug's Collection 2000 Fast stroke eyeliner, as it's cheap yet does exactlyy what i want it to do, and when you do want to remove it it doesn't leave you in a horrible mess.





It's probably best to just have a shop around and have a test of some of them in high-street stores, beacuse it's about what suits you.

I was thinking something dark to bring out the color of your eyes. Most definitely not green, because it's like your eyes will blend in with the shadow. How about maybe a blue or brown? And have you ever tried two-tone shadow? Have a darker color on the top part of your eyelid, and a lighter color beneath it, and blend them somewhere in the middle to create a faded or tapered look.

Hun to get things to pop you have to know the color wheel. Anything that is straight across the circle compliments the color the best.





Since your eyes are green I'd say add subtle eyeliner where the bottom lashes are and use pinkish eyeshadow. Because green compliments pink.

If your eyes are a deeper blue try a navy eyeliner because it will really bring out the hues in your eyes. If your eyes are a lighter blue this will still work but a lavender or light brown eyeliner would also be good. Report Abuse

Try an eggplant or deep purple liner. I think it looks beautiful with blue eyes.
Brown makes the eyes look more blue. Dark blue is also nice as I think it enhances depth. Grey opens the eyes a little.

But in the day time why not use some white eye-liner? It really opens up the eyes and makes them look fresh even when you are tired. It also makes them look bigger. But apply mascara lightly when you are wearing white eye-liner, because otherwise the effect isnt as good.
