What's the best eye liner that won't smudge and make me look like a raccoon?

Every eyeliner I try gets really messy quick.. Any ways to prevent this would be great. I have ebony hair, blue eyes and am really really pale.. I don't have oily skin, and that's confusing. It ends up all over my face. Am I doing something wrong? What's the best eye liner that won't smudge and make me look like a raccoon?
for the top, use a liquid liner (it won't budge at all!) or a cream liner (such as MAC fluidline or Loreal's HIP cream liner). Apply the cream liner with a brush.

I always seem to have problems with my lower lashline, but try applying a base (such as Urban Decay's Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance) NEAR your lashline not directly on your waterline. Then apply a matte shadow on top so the eyeliner won't move around so much. What's the best eye liner that won't smudge and make me look like a raccoon?
Keep in mind that makeup is never intended to stay on your face for too long. Like clothes, if it's on your person, it's bound to come off at some point. There are certain tricks though that allow you to keep your eyeliner on your face for longer.

Before you put on your eyeliner, take a bit of mousse or liquid foundation and dab it on your eyelids and the area under your eye. Take a powder brush and swirl it into a compact then dust the powder on the foundation you just put on. This will absorb any excess surface oil and keep your eyeliner from running. Apply as usual.

You sound like you have an excellent complexion and good features to play up. Why don't you try red lips or a peachy shade of gel blush instead of black liner if you're feeling special?

Good luck!
^^ she's got it! Rimmel stuff is amazing!! when i first got it, i drew a line on my hand just to test it or something, and then had a shower. and it was still there, and not smudged...with both the liquid and pencil kind,

also, where are you applying it?? cuz that can make a difference in what you have to do, like, don't put it on your very inner eye, like the part attatched to your nose, cuz your natural eye goop stuff will cause it to go all weird, and use a black eyeshadow, and a really thin brush, they make those makeup q-tips that are like pointed, or just twist a regular q-tip till its pointy, and then apply it over top the pencil eyeliner (if you put it on that like...i dunno what its called, that wetish skin that touches your eye? if that makes sense, then put the eye shadow on your lash line, it'll cause a barrier) also use a concealer underneath your eyes, that also helps it not run, good luck!!
i have got pale skin i look like a wall coz im so white and dont have oily skin and ive got blue eyes. i hav the same problem as u but i found that the new mascar that is being advertised ( the yellow one , i cant remember the name) is the best for me but i check constantly that i dont look a mess. I think the best one to put on is a transparent mascara, it brings out ur eyes and if it smudges no one can see.
Try macs gel eyeliner...I usually had a problem with eyeliners...they would always run on me and it looked offel. Then i found out about Macs gel eyeliner. You apply it with a brush and i swear it totally stays on. I finally found something that woont make me check my make up every three hours. You really need to check it out.
Try MAC Fluidline. It comes in a bunch of colors and once you put it on and it dries (only takes about 15-30 sec) it isn't going anywhere. They also have Kohl Eyeliner that's really great too.
Bed Head has this really great eyeliner. Its a pencil type not the liquid ones. The liquid ones I find are harder to apply. This one is great. And does not smudge at all.
try MAC makeup and check out this page for coupons and makeup tutorials and tips......

hope this helps.
You sound beautiful. :-)

As for the smudge, hey, raccoons are CUTE. :-)
Gel liners work great. They stay put and never smudge when they set. I like MAC's fluidline and Bobbi Brown's gel liners.
Liquid liner! once you let it dry for 20 seconds or so it won't come off all night. I use the Rimmel one.
Mac Fluidline.

It comes in a small pot, but lasts ages.
