Number one, never take fashion advice from Britney Spears. We can see that is an image from her ';Stronger'; video.

That being said, the look is not achieved with liner alone. She is wearing liner along the bottom lashes, heavier on the outer 2/3 as well as on the top, also heavier on the outer 2/3 and drawn upwards beyond the edge of the eye (cat's eye look). She is also wearing dark grey/black shadow in the crease of the lid and using it to give a smokey effect to the liner. A lighter shade of shimmery grey/silver is also used near the brow, in the inner corner of the lid and along the inner part of the lower lid. Take this photo to a cosmetics counter and have them show you how to achieve the look (a Shoppers Drug Mart cosmetician should be able to help you, but be sure to buy something, otherwise that's just rude).
Lol i know how you feel, its took me ages to get the hang of stuff like makeup and hair.

First put on a light eyeshadow all over the eye, or a primer (you can get these from most makeup shops, they help the eyeshadow stay on and will make the eyeshadow look a more clear colour)

Then get an off-white colour of eyeshadow, and apply 3/4 over the lid, leaving the ends with no colour.

Then get a black colour, and apply the eyeshadow to the corners, then don't put more eyeshadow on leave whats left on the brush, if you feel underneath your brow there should be a bone, smudge the black colour up to the edge of the browbone, circular motions with your finger/eyeshadow brush.

Then use kohl eyeliner on the top lid, it'll take some practise to get a straight line, just try and follow your eyelashes, then smudge the line out using your finger.

Finish with a highlighter colour (silvery colour) directly underneath your brow, and at the first part of your eye, right at the tip where your eyelids start.

To end, put on some mascara.

Hope this helps :)xxx
i always use the maybelline eyeshadows, the four color ones, because on the back it tells you exactly where to put the colors and in what order. i had the same problem, but not i always get compliments on my eye makeup. good luck :)

if you don't know what colors bring out what eye colors, then check out the almay makeup section which should be near maybelline in drugstores since almay tells you what colors bring out what eyes. ex. golds/coppers/browns bring out blue eyes so i use maybelline chail atte for the winter/fall months and sunlit bronze which is my favorite for the summer/spring.
First, you need an extremely steady hand and a finely sharpened eyeliner. I would suggest you check out Bare Minerals Smoky Eye kit. It tells you how to achieve the look but you don't have to buy the product. You can also get the same look with other colors. It does not have to be just black. Combos of brown, gray, or dark blue work great too, depending on your eyes and skin tone. Black may be a bit overpowering. Good luck!
ok this is what you do

first grab a silver shimmery eyeshadow apply it on till the top of your brow bone the get a black apply it on the lid and make a corner you may do eyeliner to help you to fill it in grab a q tip and perfect it till its done then do your eyeliner and SMUDGE!!! again wwith a Q tip
well I dont use much make up but I the way to make it look like you want is applying a very light shade from your eye lashes to your eye brows cover everything beetween that then apply a darker shade of the same color from the inner corner of your eyeback to the other corner(but just apply eye shadow to the brush once and use the brush to do that effect)
Once you check out this video all your questions will be answered

Do products like eye-liners, mascaras, eye-shadows, etc, cause eye problems?

I use a liquid eyeliner everyday and sometimes it might get into the eye by mistake, etc... of course i take it off as soon as I see it, but I want to know if these products can cause blindness, or other eye problems.Do products like eye-liners, mascaras, eye-shadows, etc, cause eye problems?
Never use outdated eye products that have been lying around for months on end or share your eye make-up, you could get an eye infection. Eye products will not cause blindness, just renew your eye cosmetics at reasonable intervals, especially mascara and eyeliners.Do products like eye-liners, mascaras, eye-shadows, etc, cause eye problems?
Any product in the US that is marketed for use as cosmetics for the eyes must be proven safe for reasonable use on the eyes.

It is reasonable for women to expect to put these products on, wear them for a day, and wash them off for the night before putting them back on. It is also reasonable to assume that women will protect their eyes from stray materials in a timely fashion.

Assuming you do these things, you will be in no danger for permanent damage to your eye, although some products may be irritating if they do run.

The manufacturers of cosmetics take on a significant legal responsibility when they market these products for use around such vital organs as the eyes. For this reason, they will often make the products especially safe, even in conditions of ';unreasonable use.';

For this reason, it is generally safe to cry in your mascara for hours on end, go swimming, and let the stuff run into your eyes, wear the same makeup for several days, etc. etc. etc.

However, the manufacturers cannot control everything, and there is one situation where certain makeups can become very unsafe:

When you share makeup with someone else, you will often end up sharing whatever bacteria that other person has on their face. Some bacteria can breed, and multiply in the cosmetic products, producing the potential for serious infections, such as pink eye, warts, and eczema.
They can cause problems; however, if you get it in your eye, usually flushing the eye with plenty of water or saline solution will take care of things. If they come in contact with the eye itself and you experience real problems after flushing the eye well, it's not a bad idea to be checked.

I have DARK brown eyes, what kind of shadow, liner & mascara should i use?

My eye's are literally so dark that you can only tell they're brown if you're two inches away from my face.

Any good products out there for eye shadows?

Or even mascaras and eyeliners too?I have DARK brown eyes, what kind of shadow, liner %26amp; mascara should i use?
Like you i also have dark brown eyes where you can barely distinguish the pupil from the eye colour, and over the years i have found that dark eyes look best with dark eye makeup. I recommend trying this, its not an everday look but its a brilliant technique for more formal occasions/nights out.

Firstly, moisturise and prime your eyelid area.

Then, cover your eyelid up to your crease with dark brown shimmery eyeshadow and blenddd. Once you've blended, grab a black eye pencil and smudge it above your lashline, dotting it as you go, and dont be afraid to extend the line past the corner of your eye. Grab a brush and blend blend blend, bringing the black upwards. After you've done this, get a black eyeshadow and go over the pencil, for maximum emphasis. Bring the eyeshadow out creating ';wings';, most people know this as the ';cat eye'; look. To finish off, grab a liquid liner and draw a neat line above your lash line, and remember to extend the line upwards

Hope this helps, sorry if some bits dont make sense as i was in a bit of a rushI have DARK brown eyes, what kind of shadow, liner %26amp; mascara should i use?
a simple look- nude shimmer shadow over brown bone, dark blue shadow, navy liner and blue/black mascara, or for a softer look cocoa brown shadow instead of dark blue. i like almay and maybelline brands.

I Would Go For Golds And Silver To Emphasize The Bold Brown Eye's

it depends on ur skin tone, but i think the best colors would be like a plum purple or a rich blue

Eye liners, mascara???

which liquid eye liners are easy to put on, which pencil ones dont smear as much, and which mascara thickens your lashes????Eye liners, mascara???
i use Revlon eyeliner it doesn't smudge at all even if u rub ur eyes for mascara i use maybelene xxl it makes my lashes look thicker n longerEye liners, mascara???
Try M.A.C eyeliner, and Maybelline mascara!
Use a pencil liner with eyeshadow over it. That will help with smearing. With a liquid eyeliner use a Q-tip to correct your lines. Try Daring definition gel eyeliner and SuperFULL Mascara. You can get it here at a great price

htpp://www.myavon.com/hblalock
I'm using espresso eyeliner from Bobby Brown. It's easy to put on, and it even smears less than a Clinique pencil one that I use most of the time=] Clarins mascaras are really good too..esp the Super Curl one. It curls your lashes without the curler.
Eyeliner- Avon, Liquid eyeliner- Maybelline , and Mascara- Maybelline - volume express.
IDK
i use mac for my eyeliner. a bit expensive but totally worth it since it stays on like a pro and never has it smeared on me. and for a good mascara i recommend maybelline XXL, or any mascara tube with duo brushes, one for length and the other for volume. good luck!

Hola,

I think maybeline is the best mascara to thicken your lashes and almay is the best liquid eyeliner and the pecil ones bye mary kay.
dior show is the best mascara ive ever used! its about $23, but its worth it.
For Eyeliner...don't go for the Wet n' Wild or the NYC....it might be cheap but they smear and they come off during the day. MAC is a really good brand that you can find at most department stores and Rimmel is really good esp for the subtle look. As for Mascara...again MAC and Loreal full definition Voluminous...but you really have to know how to apply mascara to get the full long look (just apply it in a zigzag motion rather than straight up)
The XXX volume and lenght mascara from maybelene is AMAZING. I swear by it. Its the only thing I'll use for stage makeup. If you are having trouble with stick eyeliner smearing you might want to powder your eyes after you apply it. Just get some translucent loose powder and a large fluffy brush and go over your eyes. Blend so you dont look like you have crazy pale eyes. Personally, I love liquid eyeliner when it is applied right. Usually the people that dont like it, cant use it so practice practice practice. NYC is the best but you must make sure you let it dry before you open your eyes all the way.
XXXtreme mascara by I think maybelline will DEFENITYLY lengthen and thicken your lashes, but DO NOT GET WATERPROOF! Waterproof will (duh) not come off, and it is extremely bad for your lashes, especially for as thick as it is. NYC stick pencils do not smear as much, and I would recommend NOT using liquid eye liners, there is reason that died out in the 80s. It will clump with the slightest amount of sweat and break into pieces over your eyes giving it a ---- appearance, with spaces in between the lines.

best of luck! =]
Liquid eyeliner pencil by AVON is great comes in many colors works much better than the ones you see that look like a little paint brush.

Pencil eyeliners Maybline works good sometimes I get the water proof ones for the inside lower lid of my eye it last longer and for the top line it smears a lot less.

Mascara any will thicken and add length if you STAY on the same eye for like 3 min continue going from bottom of the lashes to the top, but if you want a name Great Lash works good and Volume Mascara. A eye lash cruler before applying any mascara always helps.
MAC is good to go with. So is Rimmel or maybelline if he budget is a bit low!
maybellines lash stylist (gorgeous)

avon color trends eye liner ( long lasting, doesnt smear at all)

no liquid eye liner because it is extremely difficult to use but if you feel like to clinique's liquid eyeliner is good and affordable
mascara try something from bonnebell
uhh wow thats some very exact quest, well for liquid liner, the one from maybelline, im not sure bout regular eyeliner for the one that doesn't smudge, and for thee mascarra the double sided one i forget wat its clled and wat brand
Bonnebell
I'm still searching for the liquid liners that are the best to put on and just recently got a liquid liner by Maybelline I think (too lazy to go grab it) and it's ok. Liquid liner is, overall, pretty tough to put on perfectly (at least for me) so it gets better with practice. Still looking for pencil liners that don't smear.

The best mascara (that is my absolute favorite!) is Dior Show! It seriously looks like you put on some false lashes and it really lengthens them too. It doesn't clump your lashes together like cheaper mascaras do. It's a little bit pricier than drugstore mascaras, but it's definitely worth it!
I work at Macy's...have you ever been to the benefit counter? They are wonderful people and they all the answers. But and off the wall brand I go with is Almay.
definitely anything by mac. their liquilast liner.....is amazing.
most liquid eyeliners are very harsh and can easily look hookerish. i would suggest getting a stiff eyebrow brush and using a dark eyebrow filler (it's pressed like eyeshadow) then i dip my brow brush in water and brush it across the eyebrow filler and run it over my lids above my lashes. it is liquid... but doesn't dry so harshly and is more easily blendable. also be sure not to open your eyes wide until it is dry. it is really good and will stay on for a while.

also i enjoy clinique mascara. it's kindof expensive but it makes my eyelashes look fabulous.
mac eye-liner but u use a brush to apply it. as 4 mascara use lorea'l voluminous black
Best mascara ever... Dior Show!!!!

What color eyeshadow, liner & mascara brings out brown eyes?

I am fair skin, brown eys and dirty blonde hair.

What line of make-up do you recommend? What color eyeshadow, liner %26amp; mascara brings out brown eyes?
Since you are fair, try a shimmery green in the eyes with bronze accents.

If you develop more of a tan, or use a self tanner, then you can do cocoa/bronze colors.

Eyeliners should be brown or bronze and mascara should be brown-black (never straight black)

These combos look beautiful with brown eyes.

I know because I have been experimenting with my own eyes for years till I found just the right colors. (I'm blonde too)What color eyeshadow, liner %26amp; mascara brings out brown eyes?
youll find some great skincare and makeup tips here
Purples bring out brown eyes...also if you try to use some shimmery powder on your inner corners of your eyes!Try to use the Maybelline';Volum' express 5x longer mascara';. It works great I use it.Try to use a dark eyeliner or if you aren't wearing eyeshadow, try to use a dark purple eyeliner...they look great.Try them on first...see if you like it.GOOD LUCK!
aubergine, plum, olive all are beautiful with brown eyes
shades of purple or light/natural browns
k here for brown eyes ;] : you can get this mascara from avon that comes in all these colours: Pink, light pink, brown, dark brown , theres a special way to put it on, bye
Purples and browns :)
go to wal-mart, target, or wherever and get the intensity make-up they have...they have it for blue, brown, green, and sumthin else...hope this helps! :-)
I am about the same coloring as you are, and I use light and dark brown eyeshadow, black or dark brown eyeliner, and I don't use mascara, but if I did, it would probably be black or dark brown. Hope this helps!
well with brown eyes, golden eyeshadow looks awesome ( i have brown eyes too, except my hair is black), black eyeliner, adn just plain black mascara.
i would do brown or black liner, black mascara and gold, light purple, or light green shadow....i love purple on brown eyes! you can also try the almay eye color enhancer shadows, liners, and mascaras that are designed to bring out your eyes!
I would say black
black eyeliner and mascara
black eyeliner and mascara, and grayish purple eyeshadow. Or try blue euyeshadow
I have similar coloring and I like blue, purple, and brown for eyeshadow. I use a brown/black mascara and eyeliner.
The line I find is not a big deal. Get a nice sheer foundation, a shimmery base shadow, I use an ivory but you can use white, and brush a sheer layer on the lid to the brow, then in the crease and over the lid I put some color, depending on my mood. I have a shimmery gold (goldust, not mustard yellow), a cranberry and a smoke color. I use brown eyeliner and mascara, but black is ok too. Sometimes I outline around my eyes with a gold pencil too, top and bottom, then a very thin dark brown line close to my lashes.
Try various shades of purple. My sister has big brown eyes, and purple looks GREAT on her.
I always seem to get compliments when I wear purple eyeshadow, black liner, and black mascara. I am also fair skined with brown eyes but i have reddish brown hair.
try blackest black eyeliner and mascara and a sort of brown eyeshadow..
black eyliner dark brown mascara and green eyeshadow
For your eyeshadow anyone can use browns or charcoal shades. Being that you are a dirty blonde I would try

Peachy color for you base over the entire lid and eye area. Then go back with a dark brown just at the lash on the upper lid, into the crease of your eye a bit and then maybe a little along the lash on the lower lid if you want a mysterious kinda look.

Then line with a dark chocolate liner that is soft. If you have large eyes line as much in the lash along the entire upper lid. Start heavier on the outside corner and then thinner as you work in. Line the lower lid in the lashes about halfway or go all the way to close your eye up a bit more. Smudge with your finger and touch up if you smudge too much. This gives a smokey look.

You can do the same technique with a lighter kind gold shade of shadow that sparkles a bit and then put that along the lower lash after the liner instead of the brown for a retro-sixties kinda look.

If you want an everyday look that is quick and easy (not something Bobbie Brown likes to do, but I do) Use your blush in an upward stroke on your lid very lightly. Line the lashes just a bit in the corners and apply mascara. Finsh with a little of the same blush right on the apples of your cheeks (make an exagerated smile and apply to the too humps formed on either side of your nose...gives a sunkissed look) and some lipglass in a light sparkling shade.

You look done, but not overdone say for a ballgame, shopping trip or picnic. Everyone looks a little silly in the hot summer sun with tons of make-up on.

Go to counters in the mall for free make-overs, call your local Beauticontrol, Avon, and MaryKaye consultants for a free one-on-one at home makeover, go on their homepages for more tips.

Good luck!!
Brown or dark brown eyeliner, depending on how dark your eyes are, and brown mascara. Black mascara is a big no-no, because it doesn't match your natural tones!

People with brown eye can wear a lot more colors than any other for shadows. Use a shimmery beige colour underneath your eyebrows. On top of your eye, use a peachy or a rosy pink. Blend them together. For evening wear, try and do the ';smoky eyes'; technique and use a turquoise or extremely shimmery lilac. Good luck :)

Which one is better? Liquid eye liner or the normal one? And does mascara helps on everyone?

I think that crayon or pencil eyeliners work the best. The liquid liners are risky. They take more time to apply, require a very steady hand, and can look really stupid if you don't do it just right. Liquid liners make a very fine line, and usually you have to go over it a couple times if you want to make the line thicker. If you mess up, it's a pain to fix it. You pretty much have to start over. Liquid liners not only produce a very thin, fine line, but the line itself is very severe. The line you get from a liquid liner will be deeper, bolder, and much sharper than anything you'd ever get from the blackest crayon or pencil. Not something you want to mess around with if you're going for a casual or natural look. Liquid liners can create very dramatic eyes, but it takes skill and patience. If done incorrectly, it can become a distraction, like over-plucked eyebrows. With liquid liners, you have very little flexibility as far as blending, therefore, you're pretty limited on where you can use a liquid liner without looking like an idiot. With a pencil or crayon, you have more control over the line and the thickness and darkness of the line, and you don't have to fuss with it as much. If you make a mistake, smear it over this way or that way, blot it with a tissue, blend it into your eyeshadow, cover it with powder, the options are endless. With liquid you just don't have those kinds of options. You have a perfect line or you don't. There's no middle ground. Plus, I don't know what they put in those liquid liners, but I seem to be more sensitive to them, i've tried many different kinds, and they all make my eyes sting and water. Of course, I might have been concentrating so hard trying to put the stuff on, that my eyes started to water under the strain of it all. Then there's the issue of poking yourself in the eye. This seems to happen a lot more with liquid liners and it hurts like heck. Liquid liners also don't seem to last as long, they seem to fade and wear off pretty quickly. Unless, of course, you get the waterproof kind; in which case the stakes are much higher for you to apply it perfectly the first time around.

As far as mascara....yeah, i'm a believer that it can look good on just about everyone. The trouble is, I don't think one kind of mascara works for everyone. It's all about trial and error, unfortunately. What may work for one person might look terrible on you. Everyones eyelashes are different, and each set may respond better to a certain type of brush, or type of mascara itself. Once you find one that you really like, don't let anybody tell you different. Makeup is an adventure, you just have to find what you're comfortable applying, and what makes you feel good wearing.Which one is better? Liquid eye liner or the normal one? And does mascara helps on everyone?
weeeeeeel you see liquid is really hard to put on but if you get the waterproof kind it stays on for like ever!

and if you get the normal sometimes it comes off during the day!(:

and i LOVE mascara!

i use it every day!

if you have short eyelashes the use mascara then use a eye lash curler and then put more mascara on(:

i always have a ton of mascara on to make my eyelashes fuller!

%26lt;33 kendallWhich one is better? Liquid eye liner or the normal one? And does mascara helps on everyone?
I prefer liquid eyeliner..its stays on wayy longer and it looks better in my opinion. but sometimes its a complete ***** to put on..if you have a shakey hand! takes me ages to get a straight line lol

yes mascara looks good on everyone!

Mascara really is the best invention :]
depends on the look you want to create. if you want Precision go for liquid, smokey and smudgable go for pencil. and yes mascara is always a plus unless you're one of the lucky ones with gorgeous natural lashes
Yes mascara helps on everyone

and I like the normal one better, liquid is too messy and hurts ike a ********* when you get it in your eye

i know i am attracted to petite fair-skinned girls (like avril lavigne) for example.. with LIGHT make-up especially eyeliners and mascaras.. im just wondering what other people think about it... is there something into it that brings something out of 茅m?Are men more attracted to fair-skinned girls in eye-liners/mascara than darker toned girls?
yesAre men more attracted to fair-skinned girls in eye-liners/mascara than darker toned girls?
    to each is owns
depends on the guy... but they should just be looking at the personality... however cheesy that sounds
    It depends on the guy.
    we all like different things.

a lot of guys like blondes, me I've dated one before, and she will be the last. I like darker haired women.

but really odd (well for me) I do like the redhead in holby..

so are tastes are different and change.
its all a matter of perception man. some have the same taste as yoiu in women, others like large, dark women, with no makeup. its all on personal preference.
    depends on the guy..

If i were your child what age would u allow me to where eye shadow, mascara, and lip liner?

I think until u learn how to spell ';wear'; meaning ,it will take longer than it is supposed to be, plus not ';loose'; but ';lose'; , another mistake ppl make as well.

So, older than 16-17 i guess....If i were your child what age would u allow me to where eye shadow, mascara, and lip liner?
eye shadow (pastel colors) and mascara (clear) - 12 or 13.

lip liner - 47 (not literally, but kids don't need lip liner. maybe lip gloss, preferably chapstick.)If i were your child what age would u allow me to where eye shadow, mascara, and lip liner?
    15
Whenever you want, honey! I belive in being beautiful when you feel like it! I've worn make up since age seven.
    13 or 14
A light, natural eye shadow: 13 years

    Mascara: 13 or 14 years

Lip liner: 15 or 16 years

Darker, more obvious eyeshadow: 15 or 16 years

Altogether (shadow, lip, %26amp; mascara): 15 or 16 years
I would let you play with those little girl make-up sets that they sell in the toy department when you were 8/9 but I'd make you wait to wear real makeup until you were 13/14- And then I'd buy you your first basic set ( eyeliner, a shadow set, and mascara)- but if you wanted anything better than that I'd make you pay for it.
    Ten or eleven
    16
lip liner...ick! but if i had a kid, around 13 i would teach her how to put on tinted moisturizer, neutrogena's lash tint, and lipgloss.
    16 at least
    At home - any age.

    In public - 13.

I would allow it to start off very litely.

Theres nothing worse that you can do to your beauty than wear gobs of thick make-up.

Not only that but globbing too much can actually make you ugly.

Regardless of the answers you receive......I hope you listen and respect your Mom ( Grandma/Guardian) what ever the case may be.......they know you.......they take into account the area/school you're in.......In other words......THEY KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU ! IT'S CALLED - BEEN THERE,DONE THAT! It's a bumpy road, good luck!
I will allow my (right now, 8) daughter to use when she's 12 or 13 but only after she and I have discussed what she can and can't use AND after I've helped her (with or without the help of a consultant) find a natural, neutral color line for her skin. HTH
    13
    13
I saw about 14 or 15, slowly start them with a little lipstick then have them move up to wearing all the eye makeup. You don't want them to look to old. If they wear to much it dosen't look good.
probably at 15 because before that your to young and guys will think you are older and hit on you
    14-15.
If you were my child I'd say no younger than twelve and it'd also depend on how mature you were and how consistently you washed your face.
i started wearing makeup when i was 12, but not too much, and now i wear a little more, but now i'm in highschool....so i guess anywhere from 12 as long as you make sure your kid doesn't walk out of the house looking like a s*ut.....
    16 YEARS OLD
    15
21, but then at 21, she is not called a child-
question, why would you want to wear lip liner? i would just go with lip gross, chapstick or lip stick. as for eyeshadow i'd go light on that. probably around 15 or 16
    Seventeen.
    about 12 to 13.
It would really depend on you. First, I would considerf how responsible you are about your personal hygiene. Do you brush your own teeth regularly and take care of your own hair, or do I have to nag you about it? Could I count on you to wash all your make up off every night before bed?

The other part is: if I tell you not to share your make up, because you can get eye infections from sharing mascara and pencils, can I count on you not to share and to know why?

I will also look at your friends: if they wear make up that is innapropriate, I may not allow you to wear make up at all until you can show me that you know what is appropriate and when to wear it.

I was not officially alloowed to wear make up until I was sweet sixteen. I don't think that is unreasonable, and i might be willing to let you use some make up earlier, but you would have to show me you can handle it. If you were 16, and irresponsible, I might tell you you couldn't have it in my house until you move out on your own. I might also rescind your right to wear it if I feel you are mishandling it.
    18. After that then you could do what ever you want to your body, but until then, I, as an adult and parent who is (supposed) to have the best interest in your health and well being and my house you will have to abide by my rules, unless you can give me a valid reason/purpose to wearing make up. And ';cause its cool'; is not a valid excuse. And the same reasons holds true to mutilating your body with piercings and tattoos.

My opinion is to let your natural beauty be shown without covering it up. Use make up only to enhance your features at certain times/functions. As the years go on you will use more and more make up to maintain the image you created when you were young. Don't be a VOF (victim of fashion)
Probably 14 or 15, but worn tastefully and not like all whorey :)

Revlon colorstay- Eye Liner, and L'Oreal-Voluminous Mascara?

What do you think of these Im going to purchase them, and i need a second opinion.thanx LadiesRevlon colorstay- Eye Liner, and L'Oreal-Voluminous Mascara?
L'oreal Lash-out mascara is waay better than voluminous, also less expensive, it separates and does not clump and makes your lashes look longer. Never tried the Revlon, sorry. For foundations I have to use Estee Lauder Enlighten for my oily skin as could not find a store brand that worked as well and did not slide off...Revlon colorstay- Eye Liner, and L'Oreal-Voluminous Mascara?
umm they sound good but me personaly i use covergirl it helps make your lashes look fuller and pretty!

I have dark circles and puffy eyes..i want to highlight my eyes with eye liners and mascara but they make them

look even worse...what do i do to make them look better in daily routine..and i dont want to wear lot of make over everyday?I have dark circles and puffy eyes..i want to highlight my eyes with eye liners and mascara but they make them
Well for the dark circles under your eyes, you can simply put a small amount of foundation on them. Regular foundation will do, but there is a product by bare minerals called ';well-rested'; made just for it. Also adding white eyeliner under your eyes makes you look more bright and awake. You can still use regular dark liners on the top.I have dark circles and puffy eyes..i want to highlight my eyes with eye liners and mascara but they make them
    try using concelar

you only need a little and it will help hide dark circles

when trying to highlight your eyes use a light eyeshadow like white or cream-place under your eyebrows

don't use a lot, you don;t want it to stand out so all you see is white, so blend

then add eyeshadow and liner, mascara

you can even use concelar on your eyelids to help with eyeshadow so it appears on you the exact color the eyeshadow actually is.

    takes 5min
I use an eye brightener cream by Bare Escentuals. Its about $13 but it lasts a long time. It really works just put it on before ur concealer and it works wonders for puffiness %26amp; dark circles.
A nice pale yellow concealer helps with dark circles but you will need to wear foundation id sugest a powder over liquid especially if you don't want to wear much make-up. apply the concealer first. BLEND IT WELL!!! Unless you want yellow instead of purple under your eyes. You could appl a bit of concealer in your skin tone on top of it...but again blending is crucial. The apply your powder.

As for highlighting your eyes...thats not exactly the purpose of mascara and liner...they accentuate. if you want to line your eyes but don't plan on wearing any shadow, it will be too harsh and give you a slut look. Which is probably why you think they look worse. Get yourself an angled shadow brush and some brown shadow. Dampen the brush but don't make it wet, then get some shadow on it. Use the angled tip to brush the shadow into the roots of your lashes.

To lift your eyes use a bit of highlighter or irredescent shadow and put it on the inner corners of you eyes and along the brow bone.

Try to find a mascara the is meant to make your lashes apear feathery. The look more natural because they aren't thick and clumped, but it gives the appearence of more of them. The shadow you put into the lash line will help too...it makes your lashes appear more full.

    ---hope that helped some.
well yes concealor is used to cover things, BUT if you put it on a dark spot, and it will actually make it worse. you have to use a Yellow concealor base for covering dark circles, specifically. and THEN put concealor over it. I highly recommend Physicians Formula yellow concealor stick, it looks lik a lipstick, and its cheap. you can get it at lik walmart or walgreens. put that on, the yellow counter-acts the purple/brownish dark circles, and when you put the concealor over it it looks great. also, to cover really red pimples, you use Green concealor base, the green counter-acts with the red of the pimples!

You can also try using Smashbox Under Eye Brightener, it works well and is about $18, you put that on and then your concealor.

Also be sure to the the correct color concealor, cuz if you don't use foundation, and its not the right color, then it will look funny! If you're willing to spend a lil more money, going to a department store or like Ulta, they can help you find the perfect color concealor.

Another thing, its best to use waterproof eyeliners and mascara, b/c it not they can smudge and make their own dark smudges/';circles'; under your eye!
Believe it or not I have found that if you slice a potato and put some slice on your eyes (sort of the cucumber method) it relieves puffiness and at the same time takes the dark circles under your eyes away. This can also be helpful for you elbows and knees. It is also very soothing. I just do a whole face mask. It makes my skin supple soft.
try wearing just concealer on the dark circles

there is this stuff from Benefit called ';Ooh la lift'; for puffiness

Try drinking more water and getting more sleep and exercise if you don't already
try using a concealer (under ur eyes and on ur lids) if you blend it well, it will look good. use ur ring finger and use a motion like if u were giving fingerprints lol idk how else to describe it, ur eyes will look alot brighter, it'll help deminish ur circles.

after using ur liners, try hilighting the inner corners of ur eyes with a gold or white eyeshadow jsut put a bit in the inner corner..it'll make your eyes look alot brighter too. then apply mascara and ta daaa

I normally wear liquid foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, blusher & lipstick & mascara, but for New Years Eve.

is there a different look anyone could recommend? want to look extra special, before i put make up on, i use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. is there anything you can think of that i could change to look different but gorgeous for this special night? i have shoulder length hair and am a dark brunette with quite pale skin and blue/grey eyes.I normally wear liquid foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, blusher %26amp; lipstick %26amp; mascara, but for New Years Eve.
Let's not just focus on the top half, focus on the whole you.

I have to say I think when someone has a tan they look healthy and radiant. So i would start by exfolating and removing unwanted hair and moisturising on the 29th, (if shaving though make it the 30th) it's best to exfoliate and moisturise the day before applying tanning products. Then on the night of the 30th, a few hours before bed time apply your chosen tanning product. Fake Bake and St Tropez are probably the best and easiest at the mo. Ensure you have applied the tanning product all over, get a friend to help with the difficult to reach places (you could do each others). To avoid streaky elbows, feet and knees apply these areas with some moisturiser. Leave to dry and go to bed with it still on. (prob best if you put a towel down on the bed as it does stain.)

Morning of the 31st - The tan has had time to develop, so now is the time to wash it off in the shower.

For Make-up - I would go for more dramatic make up. I also have dark brunette hair and greeny blue eyes. So if it was me I would apply my usual foundation, powder, bronzer/blusher. Theres no point changing the base as you already know it works. If you feel the base is a little light compared to the bronzed body a slightly darker powder does the trick.

I would make eyes dramatic and lips neutral, so maybe smoky eyes, use a light silver/grey, a charcoal/black and a shimmery white highlighter. Apply the lighter colour all over the eye lid right up to the brow. Apply the darker colour at the edges and blend up and in towards the centre using the crease of the eye as a guide. Then finally apply the shimmery white just below the eyebrow to highlight them. Ensure both eyes are even and brows are well groomed.

Line eyes with black eyeliner and dab some of the shimmery white eyeshadow in the inner corners of the eyes. Curl eyelashes and apply lashings of mascara.

Opt for a sheer gloss for lips, peachy pinks are best.

Hair - I'm unsure of the style you have whether it is layered or a long bob etc. Sweeping fringes always add an element of softness to the face. Avoid middle partings as this may make the look to harsh, side partings are best for softness. If it is long enough maybe some soft curls would be nice. Set in rollers then finish with curling tongs.

Finish off the look with pretty jewellery. I love diamond or cz studs with a matching necklace and braclet.

Just before putting on outfit, rub on some Body Shops Shea Butter for Body, this complements the tan, gives it a glowing shimmery glossed look.

Good luck and enjoy the night.I normally wear liquid foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, blusher %26amp; lipstick %26amp; mascara, but for New Years Eve.
try smokey eyes and a more clean look... try to attract attention to your eyes... use a little bronzer and natural lip gloss
i would go for a smoky eye, dewy cheeks, and a killer hot lipstick....go for a dramatic look (that is guessing thats not how you do your make up like that everyday)
Have you seen the benefit make up range? They do a great bronze tint that you mix with high beam to give a gorgeous bronzed illuminated look to your cheekbones - think J-Lo....

Go without eyeshadow, just liquid eyeliner and lot's of mascara for a 60's inspired look
focus everything on your eyes. make a smokey eye look using different shades of bronze/gold/brown (lay off the black and gray colors). When you put on the mascara, pull the brush away towards the side of your head, so instead of looking straight like this
    || they will look like this \\\\\. to give it a more angled look, more dramatic. then do eyeliner 3/4 of the way on your eye instead of your whole eye lid. but if you already put it just 3/4 of the way, line your whole lid. use a peach satin blush, like the one from maybelline (its the dream mousse one). use a clear lip gloss and your good to go!!!!
I would say to go to a cosmetic store and ask for a free consultation.
Highlighter used on top of your cheek bones and edges of eyes under brow. The Body Shop do a great one. It really brightens up your face. Maybe you could try different coloured lipstick (use gloss on top) or eyeshadow for a varying look? Good luck and I'm sure you'll look great!!
Very short skirt would be great, they won't be looking at the makeup.
    I'll try.

You sound up to date so you probably know to use slightly warmer than lukewarm water to open your pores before cleansing and after cleaning, cooling the skin down and shrinking them again?

(That's just a tip, not advice).

The day before, put some of your regular cleanser in your palm and add some sugar. GENTLY cleanse your face in circular motions and rinse well. This will exfoliate and remove all old and dead skin cells. I wouldn't recommend using toner straight after the exfoliation but, moisturise!

Try to get your hands on some face pearls as they give your cheeks and brow a healthy glow.

If you want to try receive it in time (who knows whether you will), www.avonshop.com (AVON) sells a product called 'Shimmer Swirls Face Illuminator' or try your local market for something similar - it will help you to look radiant!

Use minimal make-up - ALWAYS. Skip the liner and use some eyeshadow contrasting to the colour of your eyes. My favourite for blue eyes is a twin darkish line on the upper lid of brown shadow, followed by a lighter tone or even better, a bright cream colour. But, that would depend on what you're wearing. You might want to have a go at a peachy colour too (depending on your exact haircolour).

Always make up either your lips or eyes with a decent amount of make-up (not over-made) but not both at the same time - that's 80s and at this stage, slutty.

So, either do your eyes up and use a light gloss on your lips or wear minimal make-up on your eyes and make sure your lips are noticed.

    Hope that helps.

    Happy New Year!

MAxfactor False Lash Effect Waterproof. Amazing effect %26amp; incredible lasting power :D Including dunking my head in apple bobbing and having a bath (it is a pain to remove though!!).

As for waterproof eyeliner, try sleek gel pots and they work fine for me or applying a primer (urban decay) underneath. Rimmels waterproof pencil is quite good as well (didn't budge after having a weep).

Can a man use eye-liner and mascara, and NOT being considered as gay? Is make-up wrong for a man? WHY ?

I am straight, and I think that a man shouldn't be ashamed of using powder,foundation,eye-liner,etc...

If actors and singers do it, then why the average citizen shouldn't?...Can a man use eye-liner and mascara, and NOT being considered as gay? Is make-up wrong for a man? WHY ?
Hi Allan, the reasons are quite complex and mysterious in part for me...

What comes to my mind is that our society has alwas been characterized by its machismo and sexism... Moreover our vision of the world is dichotomous many times, for example:

    good/bad male/female beautiful/ugly heterosexual/homosexual and a lot of other ones...

According to the common sense, every element of the couple is not interchangeable and who ';lives'; between these, with no strong division, is not well seen, especially when we are speaking about masculinity...

In my opinion, the truth is that this view of the world is extremely limiting and doesn't match the reality... Our nature, our behaviors are infinitely more complicated...

Finally I have to say that our society is becoming more and more unisex and probably in the future we will accept the guys with eye-liner and mascara with no problem...

Happy Easter ^^Can a man use eye-liner and mascara, and NOT being considered as gay? Is make-up wrong for a man? WHY ?
A black kohl line under the eyes and sparing use of eye shadow can do for men so you do not look overdone.

For particular looks, you may try body painting on forehead and cheeks along with glitters.

Lipsticks in natural colors are good enough and it is better to use darker shades. However, the color depends on skin, eye and hair color and your hair cut and style.

Do not use the same group of colors for lips and eyes for example dark red lipstick and black eyeshade and never ever use black lipstick.

For photo sessions, replace foundation with bronzing gel on the bearded area. You can dust cheeks with bronze powder too for the sun-tanned look. Use only clear or sheer tint of lip gloss. Concealers, fine eyeliner line and black mascara may be used.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. There are men who wear makeup and women who won't touch the stuff.

It's the fault of gender roles and stereotypes that people think only women should wear makeup, and that if a man chooses to do so he's either gay or emo. Society is stupid.

Edit: Hah, thanks. What of these thumbs-down trolls? 卢.卢
A lot of heterosexual guys at my school wear eyeliner and mascara, but they are generally in the sort of ';emo'; crowd, or however you want to put it.

It's not wrong for a man to wear make-up at all.
Unless you're a drag queen I don't think anyone should be wearing noticeable makeup. Natural look is best. I don't like when people look like clowns.

    -

I'm sorry - I forgot you have to agree with the person asking the question to get the answer right.
Maybe not gay, but certainly effeminate, but then again, men do wear earrings and all sorts of jewelry. I don't know, but I enjoy expressing my own gender. Personal preferences.
If it improves his image why not?

**Brings out his Mary Kay bag o'makeup**

Enjoy everyone. Go easy on the foundation..that stuff is expensive!!
Each to there own,it dosnt say on a eye liner pencil, for women only, and that goes for all make up.Go for it.
if it looks good and they like it, i dont see y not. i know some straight rocker friends wear eye-liner.
ive know men to be straight and wear that sort of stuff that sort of thing doesn't define your sexual orientation

I have difficulty with eye liner and mascara.?

Whenever I use a liquid eye liner, I use waterproof. That makes it very hard to correct mistakes at 5:30 in the morning. I like liquid because its dark, but I tend to stay away from it because it chips so easily. That makes my makeup look very bad. Using an eye pencil, I know, is so much easier. It's simple to correct mistakes. The only two problems with pencil is that it's hard for me to smudge it, and I just can't get it dark enough. Is it the brand of eye liner that I use? Could you suggest a kind that would do a better job?

Now with the mascara. I use that in waterproof as well. Right now, I use the Wet n' Wild volumizing and lengthing mascara. My eyelashes are very short, and I don't want to use false eye lashes. Anyway, mascaras I use always clump up and my mascara always ends up looking awful. Can anyone suggest a brand name for mascaras that are waterproof, and are made to lengthen and thicken lashes?I have difficulty with eye liner and mascara.?
i dont think it really matters what kind of mascara it only matters how much you put on. if you want your lashes to look longer then you need to put one layer on first and then wait until it drys and put another layer on to make it look longer and darker.

at least thats what i doI have difficulty with eye liner and mascara.?
    For eyeliner. Use GEL eyeliner.

    Believe me. It's amazing.

It stays put all day, but you can just wet a q tip and correct all mistakes. You can even smudge it before it sets for that sexy smokey eye look. I loooooooveeeee my gel liner. You HAVE to try it.

The ones I use are a bit pricey but they last forever. You should invest, trust me, you won't regret it!

Try MAC fluidline. You can find it at any MAC cosmetics store or online at maccosmetics.com. It's 14 dollars or so.

OR you can try the Bobbi Brown gel liner. I forget what it's called but it works ggreat!!!

As for mascara, try a department store one. I use Lancome Definicils. It is a miracle in a tube. Its 28 dollars. But wowowow my lashes are SO LONG! It comes in waterproof and not.

    GOOD LUCK.

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS EMAIL ME!
For mascara use any of the new ones that have the new brush cover girl started it with lash exact it is in their new

Queen line it is great some of my friends prefer other brands but we all use the ones with the new brush

I have the same problem you do I have very short and not too many eye lashes and this one works for me I put on about five or six coats but because of the new brush all of my lashes stay separate
For eyeliner i use revlon colorstay and it gets and stays very dark, and mascara try nyc's and run the brush under water then put it back in the bottle then use it(no clumps)!!!

    Hope I helped!
wet n' wild is very cheap stuff. If you get a better brand it won't clump up like that. I liek the Covergirl Fantasic or something.... it comes in a purple bottle and Queen Latefah does the commericals for it...
for your eyeliner. the liquid eye liner is my fav. too. but i dont use the water proof because its easier to get off if you mess up and to me. it works the same as water proof. and it must be the brand because for my bottom eye lid, i use a pencill type thing. its not really pencil that you sharpen, you twist it and more comes up. its kind of wierd but that works great. it is just as dark as the liquid. also, remember you can buy different shades of black so that could be your problem. for my mascara, i use Estee lauder. its a designer that are in stands in macy's and JcPenny it works great it spreads my eyelashes up and it doesnt clump. i buy the small one because every month i get a new one so it doesnt clump. the older it gets the more clumpier it can get. so you can also try to get a new mascara tube and brush. it makes my eye lashes thick and long. i love it.

Do you prefer, Eye liner or mascara?

if you had to chose one or the other/ wDo you prefer, Eye liner or mascara?
With me being a transvestite, it's not a point of either / or.... It's BOTH...! And really, what is WRONG with g/g s (genetic girls) wearing BOTH as well..

Who says wearing both is incorrect.. Eyeliner ';highlights'; the eyes whereas mascara ';lengthens'; the lashes - two different entities wouldn't you say..?

Both do a different ';job'; and if that's incorrect to wear both at the same time, cosmetics companies wouldn't have created both products.

Being what I am, and darned proud of it, these two products, along with all other makeup, and apparel, are used as part of the ';process' and not ';Do I apply this, and eliminate that... Nope - all are used (and enjoyed) and all add to a woman';s ( and c/d s - t/v s - t/g s - t/s s) appearance..

Eye shadow, Eye liner and Mascara?

okay so I want to know what kinds of eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara you've used that work well and you liked.

Thanks so muchEye shadow, Eye liner and Mascara?
Depends on how much you want to spend.

If you are willing to spend more money, I would recommend anything from MAC or Urban Decay. For eyeshadows, MAC has really good ones, that don't crease, and they are very pigmented, they are $14.50. For liner MAC has a really good mechanical liner, I think its technakohl, but I'm not sure. If you like glitter liner, Urban Decay has a good glitter liner. And for mascara, any MAC mascara. They are all pretty good, and clump free. Or you could look at Sephora, and most brands they sell have good eye stuff.

For cheaper, drugstore brands, I recommend anything CoverGirl or Maybelline, for your eyes.

i use black almay liquid eyeliner on the top lid. ive been using this product for 6 years now and i love it because its such a clean line. its hard to get used to using at first but once you get the hang of it its perfect for being precise. i use lancome pencil eyeliner for my bottom lid because its super soft and smudges well. the Maybelline mascara makes my lashes huge and long. and the Rimmel eyeliner is this pretty reddish brown colour.

Can i wear black mascara with brown eye liner?

or would i look weirdCan i wear black mascara with brown eye liner?
IT WOULD LOOK AWESOME! THE BLACK MASCARA WOULD MAKE YOUR LASHES LOOK BOLD AND LONG AND THE BROWN EYE LINER WOULD MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE NOT WEARING ANY EYE LINER AT ALL BUT WILL GIVE YOUR EYES A LITTLE POP AND WOULD MAKE IT SEEM BRIGHTER IN A WAY AND A NEUTRAL LOOK.Can i wear black mascara with brown eye liner?
    yea its not weird
Of course! Black and brown are great contrasts. The mascara will be big and bold, but the liner will tone it down. Never be afraid to mix and match, if you like it, wear it... or apply it i guess!
yes i wear it all the time it looks great especially with blue eyes the contrast is amazing!
try it and if it looks weird then wipe it off
Yes, I do this all the time. Black mascara goes with a lot of colored liners-
i wear that all the time

i recomend exact eyelight mascara from covergirl (the waterproof is best)

    hope i helped :D
Of course you can wear black mascara and brown eyeliner. You can barely tell the difference.
    Ya,its not weird

and if you have blue eyes, brown eyeliner makes your eyes more noticable :)
Yes i always do %26amp; it looks great :]

  • What is a good technique on what colors or how much eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, ect. for hazel eyes?

for hazel eyes, i like using purples... lavenders and plums. its opposite of green on the color wheel, and makes your eyes POP!. as to how much eyeliner and mascara... it doesnt matter the color of your eyes, it matters the shape of your eyes. for round eyes, just put eyeliner on the top. for squinty eyes, put it on the bottom, etc....for mascara, i always just use two coats and curl them. if your eyes are a lighter hazel, use a dark brown liner.. if they are dark, use a black or ver very dark brownWhat is a good technique on what colors or how much eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, ect. for hazel eyes?
I'd try going to the mall and asking a make-up specialist. What is a good technique on what colors or how much eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, ect. for hazel eyes?
ii have hazel eyes too i use purple not like barney purple like a deeper purple %26amp; black or green eyeliner take ur bottom eye lid %26amp; apply the eyeliner like on the (if this makes sense) the top of the bottom eyelidthen apply the purple mascara to make your eyes pop.

    good luck
Hazel eyes are best highlighted by shades of purple. A good blend of pinks, purples and sables can give a great popping out effect to cat eyes. The lightest shade is to accent the area just beneath your brow-bone, the medium color purple is smeared across the lid and the darkest shade should be reserved only for the crease.

P.S. The website below has some good examples of pre-made palettes you can buy!!!
I work at MAC so I had to learn about all this. Browns and greens make your eyes pop. Try a light green shadow covering your whole lid, witha dark green or brown in the crease with a brown liner.

Home remedies that i can use as mascara and/or eye liner?

I wouldn't put any home remedies that close to your eyes. Just go to the drugstore and buy something cheap.

Mascara before eyeliner? Or Eye liner before mascara?

Should you apply the eyeliner before the mascara or after it?

What do you usually do?Mascara before eyeliner? Or Eye liner before mascara?
I generally do eyeliner first, then mascara. I often retouch the eyeliner after to finish my look depending on my final product.Mascara before eyeliner? Or Eye liner before mascara?
    Eyeliner before Mascara.

I put on my liquid eyeliner which is a thick line on the top lid, and some of it goes over the lash line.

Then eyeliner pencil on the bottom waterline.

Then I curly my eyelashes then put on mascara.
depends what type of eyeliner really,l

    liquid - mascara first.

    kohl - eyeliner first.

    ;p

    xx
mascara before eye liner, unless if you put eyelinner on the top of your eyes then put that on before the mascara and it will be easier for you
Eyeliner first, then mascara. Because if you put mascara on and then go to line your top eyelid, it gets in the way and smudges.
i would think it would be easier to put on the eye liner first, before putting mascara on.

and brush your teeth, before you put on your lip stick. haha
i always apply eyeliner before the mascara. its just easier i think. :)
eyeliner it's much easier to apply correctly before mascara.
    Eyeliner first.
it should be eyeliner first before mascara
EYELINER first!! When ur eyelashes don't have mascara its easier to put eyelinerer on.
    Eyeliner BEFORE mascara.

    Thats what I do.
    Eyeliner

    So your mascara dont smudge
    eyeliner first
    eyeliner first.
i usually put the eyeliner on first when i wear eyeliner

    its easier this way[:
i put eyeliner first then mascara so i dont mess my eyelashes up that i perfectly curled
i do mascara first then eyeliner.

i think it's less messy that way.
i apply mascara first..just out of routine

I need a really good mascara and eye liner, help?

kind of mascara i'm looking for-

a mascara that doesnt clump any of your eye lashes together, and makes them look very bold and long. especially bold, since my eyelashes are already pretty long. i need a mascara that wont lose it's look by the end of the day, one that looks good from the moment you put it on to the end of the day.

kind of eye liner i'm looking for-

the most important thing, it wont clump into the corner of your eye and smear on it's own throughout the day. as i said with the mascara, it looks the same throughout the whole day; it wont fade or anything. waterproof would be the best. i need one that is easy to glide on, i dont need to apply it like 5 times for the full effect.

basicallly, i keep trying to look for perfect mascara and eye line and i just can't find it. please give me some good brands and names. thankyou so much to anyone who helps. :))I need a really good mascara and eye liner, help?
My favorite mascaras are Clinique High Impact and Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara. They''re both great for lengthening and separating without weighing lashes down. For eyeliner, I love Almay's 16 Hour Waterproof eye liner. It lasts for a very long time and it doesn't smudge.I need a really good mascara and eye liner, help?
I've had really good luck with the stila smudge pot for eyeliner. it doesn't smear and the color lasts all day! its also worth the price because it lasts a long time.
i love the bare minerals liner shadows, you can use them wet or dry, they stay on all day long, and the colors are amazing. volume exact mascara by covergirl works best for me, it plumps without clumping.
Mascara: Volum' Express Turbo Boost by Maybelline.

Liner: Rimmel for pencil and Urban Decay for liquid.

    Hope this helps!
It would be really helpful to know what you are trying to do with your eyes. I think a lot of people wear eyeliner, shadow and mascara because they think they are supposed to wear eyeliner, shadow and mascara, and so on with primer, foundation, blush etc.

The purpose of makeup is to hide small imperfections and bring out other features in pleasing ways. The second part is where mascara and eyeliner come in.

As you already know, there are hundreds of brands, most of them fairly decent, and all with unique strengths and differences. No doubt you'll get some responses like ';MAC is best'; or ';Go with Lash Blast';, but unless these people understand what you are trying to do, the answers only reflect brand loyalty, not any real relevance to your situation.

So, what are you hoping to accomplish with your eyes? How would you like them to look?
DiorShow is a really good mascara. It's kind of expensive, but it's my favorite, and it doesn't clump.

And my favorite kind of eyeliner is Stila Smudge pots. You apply it with a brush and you can either smudge it or just use a bold line. It never smears, and it lasts all day. It seems expensive, but it will last a long time.

You can't go wrong with No7 mascara and black eye liner!

    Lydia
cover girl lash exact mascara works wonders. cover girl perfect point is a good eyeliner too. i never have to re-do my make up through out the day and that is what i use.
I use MAC's mascara and it is great, the eyeliners are good also. You can also try Estee Lauder's eyeliners, the liquid ones are the best

How do you get eye make-up (mascara and eye liner) off your contact lenses?

I've found a great US site that sells a cleaning accessory pad but it wont ship to Australia,

anyone know of any cleaning pads for contacts are available worldwide or in australia?

The usual rubbing contacts in solution wont get make up off them,,.How do you get eye make-up (mascara and eye liner) off your contact lenses?
Hmmm....I was thinking of these pads because we use them here in CA. But with normal cleaners I do not have trouble getting mascare and eyeliner off of mine! How curious!

  • What should be applied first...eye liner or mascara?

well its obviously the eyeliner first after youve applied your eyeshadow, followed by your mascara to add the last finishing touch:)What should be applied first...eye liner or mascara?
eye linerWhat should be applied first...eye liner or mascara?
it could go either way. a lot of ppl taht use liquid eyeliner like to put on mascara first bcuz after the liners on your lashes get sort of chunky for the excess that went on them during application. wen using pencil its easier to use it before mascara. but either way would work theres no ';right'; way. i use liquid eyeliner and do it before my mascara, but it all depends on what kind of liner you use and your opinion of which way is more effective
    eyeliner.
    Eyeliner first, always!!
Typically mascara is the last thing you put on, but I actually put it on before my eyeliner because I only line the bottom of my eyes and the mascara dried while I'm doing that. I know it's not the ';right way'; to do it but it works for me.
eyeliner! mascara is the last thing to be applied!
eye liner. otherwise your mascara will get everywhere when you do your eyeliner.
    eye liner
    Eyeliner
eyeliner. mascara should always go on last.
    eyeliner
    eyeliner of course
eyeliner cause your likely to smudge your mascara if you apply the eyeliner after xx
I'm a little different but i put Mascara first. I don't want excess eyeliner to go into my mascara. Also all the other eyeshadow etc. Just drains the life of my mascara...O_O
the last thing in eye make up is the mascara , and its better if u put a first base , then wait till it drys , for 10 sec, then due a second layer, that how they always do one tv
definately the eyeliner because if you try to do your uper lash line with eyeliner you might end up rubbing off you mascara

mascara should always be the last part of any make-up routine...unless your putting on some lip gloss

    hope i helped :)
    Hiya

    Here's the steps :

    Foundation

    Eyeshadow

    Lipgloss/lipstick

    Blush

    Eyeliner

    Mascara

    Concealer.

    Hope this helps !x
eyeliner so u dont smudge ur mascara.
    eyeliner.....
    eyeliner.
I don't know about 'should be', but personally, i do my mascara first, then liquid liner on my upper eyelid, and then pencil eyeliner on my lower lid. If I'm going to wear eyeshadow I put that on before anything!
EyeLiner.....Masacara should always go last because you might put to much on and once you put the eyeliner it'll get all clumpy
Yeah..I agree...eyeliner..so you can apply as close to the lashline as possible, and the lashes don't get in the way. : )

My mom won't let me wear mascara or eye liner help!?

I m in 6th grade and i am 12 my mom thinks mascara and eyeliner make you look older and and I will get in trouble if i wear it. is that true?My mom won't let me wear mascara or eye liner help!?
yeah 12 is a little too young to be wearing alot makeup, but you can go ask your mom if its ok to just wear mascara and lipgloss. thats not too bad, and it doesn't make you look olderMy mom won't let me wear mascara or eye liner help!?
keep them both in your back pack and put it on in the morning at school. your young so u shouldnt wear alot of makeup but mascara and a lil eyeliner is no big deal just dont over do it. and u can take up off b4 u come home from school she will never kno!
Well itll make you look older which is good, i believe you would agree with me haha. And you wont get in trouble. Theres this one girl at my school who wears bright green eyeshadow and nothing happens But dont overdue it if your going to wear it. Your only in 6 th grade.

But im in 8th grade so haha(:

    good luck sweetie%26lt;3
Okay 1- you are not going to get in trouble just because you look older... that's kind of ridiculous. And 2- you don't need mascara or eye liner when you're 12! I'm sorry but just don't worry about it yet. As you get older you'll feel like you need more make up and I can't imagine how much you would be wearing when you're like 18. keep your face clean and fresh as long as you can! You don't need it now. Little girls that wear makeup are just trying too hard...
12 really is too young. Wait until you're 13 or 14
Well your in sixth grade, it's pushing it. But if you really want to, how about you settle with your mom. Just pick one, i would go with the mascara it's moe natural for a 6th grader, :)
it all depends on how you already look and if you wear it properly. dont go overboard with it because it might give people the impression that YOU ARE trying to look older or that your trying too hard. try putting it on lightly and see how it looks..maybe show your mom and see what she thinks. hope i helped!
I had the same exact problem when i was in 6th grade i couldnt wear eyeliner or mascara but you are in 6th grade soo you dont really need it why dont you go 2 more years without it and show off your natural beauty and when you are in like 8th grade then talk to ur mom about it%26lt;3
Yes it does make you look older .Listen to your Mother
It depends. If you start to exadurate your make-up it can look bad and sloppy...trust me. If you wear it because you need it, then it will look nice. Remember your mother is just trying to help you. I know people say it a lot, but the truth is, it's true!

Whats the best eye shadow ,eye liner, and mascara?

i have green eyes and have no idea about makeupWhats the best eye shadow ,eye liner, and mascara?
I like MAC for shadow. I don't really use separate eye liner: I use eye shadow applied with a narrow brush. For mascara, I find them mostly the same, so I use the cheap Maybelline kind that comes in the pink tube. It's a good idea to change your mascara every six months anyway, so since it's cheap, I don't feel bad about throwing it out and buying a new tube.

As for colours, if you go to a MAC store (or even the MAC counter in a department store), they're really good about giving advice and helping you select your colours. I got this nifty little thing called a ';pro pan'; - it's compact for eyeshadow, but it's empty. Then you select your combination of colours to put in it. Voila! Custom eye makeup.

I use a pale pink on the main part of the lid, a just slightly sparkly colour MAC calls ';shroom'; under the brow, and a dusty purply colour as my liner. It complements my blue-green eyes well. I use plain black mascara.

MAC is a little pricey (not bad, comparitatively speaking, and the quality is EXCELLENT), but it you want to go a little downscale from that, Almay is also great quality, and it avaliable at the drugstore and Wal-mart. They also have eye makeup combos pre-packaged for various eye colours. There's usually two or three choices in each family. Just look for the ';Green Eyes'; row and pick from there.

Make sure you get a good eye makeup remover and never sleep with your eye make up still on.

Have fun!Whats the best eye shadow ,eye liner, and mascara?
Isadora has the best eye make up i've ever used.
MAC is the best. Visit one of the stores and one of the staff will help you will color matching.
    revlon,maybelline,maybelline

I usually do just eye liner and mascara (sometimes eye shadow) but never a lot i want something quick & easy!!

I don't have that much time in the morning to get ready so i need something i can do really fast but something that is cute. I really don't want it to look like to much and caked on but i want some color...i don't know what to do! i need help! kthanks%26lt;3I usually do just eye liner and mascara (sometimes eye shadow) but never a lot i want something quick %26amp; easy!!
I recommend plum eyeliner to make those eyes really pop and black-brown mascara. That and some lip gloss is all you need!I usually do just eye liner and mascara (sometimes eye shadow) but never a lot i want something quick %26amp; easy!!
To play up your beautiful brown eyes, try using a gold eyeliner in the inner corner of your eye and along the bottom lashline, it will add some sparkle without being too crazy. Also a pretty pink or apricot blush will show off your gorgeous cheekbones. A bit of pink or peach gloss and you'll have some color without looking like you have piled the makeup on. Have fun experimenting!
Ok, if you want your eyes to stand out, if you have blue eyes, try black eyeliner, dark eyes, try white or blue eyeliner. Then, use a pastel pink or light blue for eyeshadow, then use, if you like your lips to show up, choose a dark red, if not try a light pink and a little foundation to match your skin colour. I do this every morning and it takes me about 10 minutes :D
jus get some black eyeliner pencil and smug it round yr eyes

if u use mac eyeliner pencils they will only smug wen u wnt it to so u wnt get panda eyes either an it atracts atention too;)
a little bit of eyeshadow and some mascara!

What is the best kind of eye liner ? What is the best kind of mascara?

Give me some names of good makeup and eye liner and mascaraWhat is the best kind of eye liner ? What is the best kind of mascara?
    quickliner for eyes-clinique

define a lash mascara- maybelline new york

my sister uses these and it works great

    answer mine too please?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>What is the best kind of eye liner ? What is the best kind of mascara?
Liquid Eyeliner; I think the best is probably Collection 2000. It's cheap, but good quality and it stays on all day. The applicator is a great size and shape for applying it evenly. It's 拢3.99 I think, possibly 拢2.99

Pencil Eyeliner; Barry M. There's so many colours, it works really well, and that's lost of different versions of it. Like, there's some with glitter in and one chunky soft one that can be used on cheeks and lips too, and one that's like a twist up crayon. 拢2.95 to 拢.45, depending on which you want

Mascara; Eyeko mascara is really good for your eyelashes, it promotes growth and strenghtens them and stuff, and it's a really nice strong colour. 拢5, I believe
for eyeliner i would suggest the lineworks waterproof liquid eyeliner by Maybelline if you are looking for liquid. But if you are looking for pencil i would suggest the perfect blend eyeliner by covergirl.

for mascara i would suggest...well great lash by maybelline is great and is America's #1 mascara so i would either suggest that or Define-A-Lash庐 Volume Waterproof Mascara and Define-a-Lash庐 Waterproof Lengthening Mascara. I would use a little of both at the same time to get volume and extra length. Maybelline has more then 25 types of mascaras that all work really well. I would say that almost all mascaras from maybelline will work. MAC has great products. Lancome, and L'oreal Paris has great products too!!!!!
My favorite eyeliner is Revlon Colorstay in the color black brown. I don't know what color eyes you have, but mine are dark brown and this eyeliner seems to make them look pretty and give my eyes sort of a smokey look.

For mascara I would recommend Diorshow if you don't mind paying a little more, but if you are looking for something you can get from wal-mart, I would recommend almay triple action mascara. It is pretty and is also good for your eyelashes so they stay full and lush longer.

Hope I was of some help. :)
For eyeliner, maybelline define-a-line is amazing, it goes one like silk!

For mascara try Diorshow mascara, its heavenly! But its kinda costly it retails for about 25 bucks at sephora.

If you don't want to invest in that, try covergirl lashblast.
For mascara Maybelline is the best!!!! :)
My two favorite eyeliners are Le Kohl eyeliner by L'Oreal...and my other favorite on is Colorstay by Revlon...the best mascara is the one from Maybelline...the one with the pink tube and green lid =]
    Le Kohl eyeliner by L'Oreal

    Benefit BadGal Lash mascara
Revlon Colorstay eyeliners %26amp; any covergirl mascara! I highly recommend you try them.

In the movie the DARK KNIGHT, was the mayor of Gotham City wearing mascara or eye liner?

And why?In the movie the DARK KNIGHT, was the mayor of Gotham City wearing mascara or eye liner?
Definately guy-liner going on.In the movie the DARK KNIGHT, was the mayor of Gotham City wearing mascara or eye liner?
Nestor Carbonell may be wearing stage makeup for the movie but no more than any of the other actors. He is not wearing any additional mascara or eye liner. If you search images for the actor, you will see that even in the candid shots, his eyes look the same as thez did in the movie.
Lol i said the same thing to my girlfriend when i saw the movie. He sure looks like he is wearing something under his eyes.

As to the why, I can onlyguess it makes his eyes stand out more for more emotion to add to his character.
The actor, Nestor Carbonell, just has eyes that look like he's wear eye makeup all the time. Similar to Ray Liota. Check out his imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004801/

Unless you've seen him on his other projects, like Lost, you wouldn't have known though.
    he's not wearing make up

he's just one of those people who have eyes like that

my friend started in 8th grade.

another one of my friends started this summer (summer before 10th grade)

    i personally dont wear makeup

goodluck! When do you start wearing eye liner and mascara?
I actually started wearing makeup when I was 5.. BEFORE YOU ALL FREAK OUT. I wore makeup for DANCE recitals, I was a dancer so yeah I only wore makeup for shows.

    For school.

I started in 8th grade. At first I just lined my waterline because I sucked at putting liner on my upper lash line.

But why does it look bad if you wear mascara? Almost every one wears it.

Back to eyeliner, try makeing as thin a line as you can. Sharpen your pencil regularly and the line wont make your eyes too darkWhen do you start wearing eye liner and mascara?
depends. i started wearing it in 5th grade. but i only ever put on a litlle bit of mascara, only becuz i had an older sister that did the same. live like a kid and dont wear it unless you absolutely need too. cuz before you know it, you're grown up and you HAVE to wear makeup.

but overall, wear makeup when YOU want to wear makeup, not becuz everyone else is.

Can i wear black mascara and brown eye liner?

btw i have blue eyesCan i wear black mascara and brown eye liner?
That is the best way to have it. It makes your eyes look really bold and interesting. Try doing brown eyeliner on the top and black eyeliner at the bottom with black mascara. It looks AMAZING! Hope I helpedCan i wear black mascara and brown eye liner?
i got blue eyes and i wear it!! totally, i mean, if your going for a really heavy look, i would go with all black, but for more natural looking makeup, brown eyeliner and black mascara is fine. but if you want to make your eyes really pop, try brownish-black mascara. brown is the color for blue-eyed girls.
yeah, i have blue eyes, i wear brown eyeliner and i wear black mascara, why dont you try it on, and see for yourself? you are the one that is wearing it, it should be your opinion. Experiment, i always do that!

    xx
yeah i do (brown eyes) and i just took heavier mascara on the bottom lashes cause mine looked stupid
Yes. I would recommend doing a darker shade of brown as well as brown eye shadow.
YES! I do it all the time it looks great..BTW when you wear brown eye shadows you still wear black mascara ;)
    Of course, it looks good.
Well,it might look a little weird.

But you should try it out then check how it looks.
ofcourse, you can wear any kind of makeup that you desire =]
    Yeah.

You Can Wear Your Makeup However you Want To! :)

yea, i do it all the time

    yes.

I have very bad luck with eye liner/mascara. help?

every eye liner ive bought ends up running or going away a few hours later and ends up looking pretty bad. suggestions on eyeliners that actually stay on all day would be appreciated.

and then theres the mascara..ive tried even more of those than eye liner..im not too interested in a lenghening mascara, but more of a thickening one. i dont have the fullest lashes and would like them to look more full and curved.

(lol sorry im so picky on my eye makeup)

thanks for any suggestions!I have very bad luck with eye liner/mascara. help?
Use an eyeshadow primer underneath and it will stay on. You can also add a little saline/contact solution to your eyeshadow and line your eyes with it, making it like a liquid liner. The pH balance and salt in the solution will keep it on. Also, liquid liner stays on way better than kohl liner. L'Oreals Lineur Intense or LA Colors liquid liner work great.

A good drugstore primer is L'Oreal decrease. If you have a little more money you can spend, Urban Decays Primer Potion and Too Faced shadow insurance both work great.

As for mascara, try ';layering'; your mascara. CoverGirl Lashblast and L'oreal collagen lash mascara work great together and they really pump up the lushness of your lashes.I have very bad luck with eye liner/mascara. help?
You will need to choose a waterproof eye liner. I really love Shu Uemura's eyeliners..they are really creamy and have the easiest application ..and the best part..once they're set...they're set!

Mascara-- you're just like me. I've tried tons and tons of drugstore mascara and even the more expensive ones you find in Macys. A lot of people recommend Dior Show (which sucks and drys out really fast)

The best thickening mascara is Lancome's Hypnose ...it's a custom build volume..You can add up to six coats of it with out clumping! I have been using it for over 4 years and will never change!
I have been using Rimmel eyeliner and I actually really like it.

For mascara, the Maybelline XXL brand is amazing!
Waterproof L'Oreal has gotten me through countless funerals and two very emotional pregnancies! Hope that helps!
ok, try the jet black waterproof, smear proof eyeliner by Smashbox.
I use covergirl lashblast, I love this stuff! I've tried others but nothing compares. What's even better is that I bought a 3 pack of it at Costco for 10$!( was 13$ but had a 3$ off cupon)
    Use lakme or loreal........

    Dont apply more dark.

    Apply normal

Mascara and eye liner for me !!?

My hair is a reddy-blond colour, do you think i should wear jet-black eye make-up? If not, what should wear?Mascara and eye liner for me !!?
Mascara and eye liner doesn't depend on your hair color...it depends on your skin color. Like if you have pale skin then wear browns. If you have darker skin then wear black.Mascara and eye liner for me !!?
Experinment with colours and see what you prefer. dont worry about what whether other people will like it or not. yer just try a bit of everything. its always good not just to stick to one thing anyway variety is always good and it makes u unique.
    brown
I'd stick to browns or a brownish black. Brownish black is very close to black.

If your skin is fair, try not to over-do it with black. Try a slate, steely, or brown. Slate and steely are grayish.
You can... If you want a softer look though, try browns...
I kinda have the same problem...I have naturally blonde hair so i have blonde eye brows (you can't even see them!) and eye lashes...So found that when I wore black eyeliner and mascara that it just looked very harsh...but i was told that it sutied me...but still i would suggest brown...looks just as good!
NO, no, not no , but HECK no! Wear brown or dark brown. I hate it when people with blond or light colored hair where black mascara. It make their eyes really dark and they look like a raccoon.
Yellow whould be a good color for you! It would make you eyes look BEAUTIFUL

Does wearing simple makeup like eye liner, mascara, and lip gloss make you LOOK old and should a 12yr old wear?

I just don't agree when ppl say that you're too ';young';. Personally, I think it depends on your face type. You say that you look old for your age. That's okay. Nobody is going to say you're too young to wear makeup if you don't look young to begin with. If you had a 9 year old's face, that's a whole different story. Eyeliner is ok. But not too much! If you put too much eyeliner on, it'll be too dark and you'll look like a tramp. A little eyeliner will define your features and yes, make you look a little older. Mascara will add length and volume to our eyelashes. If you have long eyelashes, don't wear cuz you'll look like you have a spider for an eye. Only apply about two coats. Anymore, and you'll have clumps and weird looking eyelashes. Lipgloss is for any age. :) And ur right foundation is stupid. If you have pimples, then go to your doctor and he/she will prescribe medication for you. That's what i do, and i don't even have a lot of pimples.Does wearing simple makeup like eye liner, mascara, and lip gloss make you LOOK old and should a 12yr old wear?
12 years old is too young for wearing all that stuff.

A clean, fresh skin with basic make-up is better looking than a lot of make-up.

Anyways, looking young or old is not important. What is important you should look fresh, clean, natural and comfortable and fit.

You don't need make-up. Accept yourself for what you are. Eat a balanced diet with a lot of water. Exercise regularly. And be confident.
I hate to say this but you are still a kid, and a 12-year old should not be using it.. Once you wear makeup, people will become accustomed to seeing you with it, and so will you. You have plenty of time to grow up. Don't rush it.
Yes it does make you look old

lil kids like 12 shouldn't wear it

    ya look trashy

i stated wearing eyeliner and stuff 9th grade which is 14 years old

It just makes them look trashier and cheaper.

My opinion. Wait until you are older and it would look nicer/
